My Top 5 Must Haves - Winter Edition 2022

Ever wonder if your stylist plays favorites? Yup! I have long thought about posting a top 5 list, the only problem? It changes throughout the seasons and with styling trends! Living in the northeast where seasons vary greatly- that alone can change the needs of hair just based on the time of year. However I also happen to have naturally wavy/curly hair, I heat style regularly, and I color my hair. Most of my clients also fall into at least one of those categories. So our hair? It has needs! I've listed out my current Top 5 products of the season that MOST hair can benefit from. Coincidentally this time around, and totally unintentionally, the entire list can be purchased at the salon I work at, so stop in or ask me next time you visit my chair! I truly believe in the products we carry and only recommend products I have tried. Read on and leave me a comment if you've tried any of these!

Eleven Miracle Hair Mask

Living in the northeast, most of us have experienced dry skin in the winter months. Did you know the winter months can also zap the moisture from our hair?! This mask offers a major dose of hydration to dry strands to keep them strong and shiny. Another bonus- hydrated strands are less prone to static! Apply to washed, towel dried hair for 10-15 minutes, then rinse.

Pureology Color Fanatic Multi Benefit Leave in

One of my all time favorites! This leave in multi-tasker primes and protects all hair types. I recommend using on clean damp hair, before combing or applying styling products. It's also light enough to spritz on second or third day hair for a refresh or to tame static. It boasts 21 benefits for your strands, but I love it most because it adds moisture, strengthens, and protects from heat.

Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother

This is another one I can't rave about enough! Highly concentrated, this formula strengthens, moisturizes, and tames frizz. Works great on all hair types, speeds up blow drying, protects from heat styling, or perfect for air drying. Finer hair only needs about a pea size. Thicker or coarse hair, I advise you to start applying through mids and ends, then layer more as you go- this cream goes the distance!

Eleven Dry Shampoo Volume Paste

I've been loving this paste for short hair AND longer tresses! Perfect if you love that second day look. On shorter hair, it's great for a matte, natural texture- sans stickiness. For longer tresses, I love the root boost it gives! Emulsify between palms, massage at roots, and you're good to go.

Amika Silken Up Dry Conditioner

You've heard of dry shampoo right? But dry conditioner?! You can thank me later. Apply this weightless dry spray liberally through the mids and ends of your hair between washes. The scent is divine and no one would guess you're on day 2 (or more!) between washes. Another go-to for anti-static. Another perk of this product? If you have kiddos in your life with long, beautiful, tangled locks- spray dry hair liberally before you go at them with a brush!
